The Customer Is Not Always Right

Counterintuitively (perhaps), if you want the have the best customer service, company leadership should not put the customer first.

 

 

No Assurance from Insurance

If you ask most professionals what the main hurdle to their profit is, they will answer "Third Party Payers". So if this is truly the case, why are so many state and national organizations sponsored so heavily by these insurance companies?

I’m with Mark on this one. You hear more complaints about “insurance” plans than anything in the industry, so why are these companies so big? Why do we continue to accept them?

Because we’re made to believe like they’re a necessary evil.

What if instead of relying on the vision plan crutch, you built a kick-ass retail experience that was actually sought out by people? What if you thought of that retail experience—the storefront—as the feeder for your optometric practice instead of the other way around? Might we actually be doing this backward?
