About Seeing Purple

Inspiring innovation, embracing technology, and challenging the status quo within the optical industry are the major themes of this blog, particularly as they apply to building your practice or dispensary.

Inspired by the book Purple Cow by Seth Godin (and purple happens to be a favorite color of mom’s), Seeing Purple is a metaphor for seeking out the truly remarkable - that which is worth talking about.

About Me

I am responsible for marketing and part-owner of Laramy-K Optical. My background includes: Naval nuclear propulsion, nuclear and mechanical engineering, graduate level physics and computer science, employment at both inspiring and uninspiring technology companies, enrollment the autodidactic school of business and marketing, and a touch of optics. With my unique background and questioning (some would say cynical) personality, I hope to be able to provide a fresh perspective and as the subtitle suggests, a different way of looking at optical.

Please, feel free to comment, send me an email, or let me know when you find innovation or inspiration applicable to the world of optical.

Sincerely,

Keith Benjamin
