LED PRO Lenses
LED PRO concentrates absorption at the two most disruptive LED peaks (450 & 550 nm), cutting glare and fatigue while preserving brightness and natural colour.
Smart lenses for an LED lit world
I've been using these lenses in my frames since the end of April. Prior to this, I wore Nightlights for two years, and I must say, these new lenses really exceeded my expectations. I was immediately impressed by how effectively they reduce glare from various lights during nighttime driving.
Considering I commute 120 miles each day in the dark, having a clearer, crisper image is incredibly beneficial. Furthermore, when encountering oncoming vehicles with high beams, these lenses have a remarkable ability to soften the lights, making driving significantly safer and more comfortable. I've also incorporated them into my daily routine in the office, as they effectively minimize light glare and have noticeably reduced the eye strain I used to experience by the end of the workday.
SMART SELECTIVE
ABSORPTION
Targets what matters
LED PRO concentrates absorption at the two most disruptive LED peaks (450 & 550 nm), cutting glare and fatigue while preserving brightness and natural colour.
COMFORTABLE & SHARPER VISION
Clarity through the glare
Cuts glare from screens, overhead lights and LED headlights, so you see more clearly in everyday life and drive with greater confidence after dark.
NATURAL COLOUR &
TRUE CONTRAST
See the world as it really is
Preserves natural colour and contrast by absorbing disruptive LED peaks without dimming brightness or distorting vision.
CLEAR EVERYDAY
LENS
Clear with a very slight tint
A very subtle green tint powers the technology, with an anti-reflective coating the lens appears almost invisible on the face and is imperceptible to wearers.
PROTECTS
EYES
All day eye protection
Blocks 100% of UV and selectively absorbs harmful blue light, providing comprehensive protection for your eyes throughout the day.
The Absorption Profile
This graph shows the spectral performance of LED PRO.
The green line represents typical LED emissions, which concentrate at 450 nm and 550 nm – the wavelengths that contribute to visual discomfort and compromised vision.
The purple area shows LED PRO’s selective absorption, targeting these exact peaks while allowing surrounding wavelengths to pass through. The result is reduced glare and fatigue without sacrificing natural colour perception.
The Problem With LED Light
From smartphones and screens to car headlights and overhead LEDs, modern life is full of artificial LED light. These LED sources emit concentrated peaks at 450 nm (blue light) and 550 nm (green-yellow light).
Though narrow in range, these wavelengths are strongly linked to glare, reduced contrast, eye strain and fatigue. For glasses wearers especially, the impact can be distracting, uncomfortable and even unsafe.
Why Traditional Solutions Fall Short
Until now, clear ophthalmic lenses have never been designed to address the specific effects of LED light. Instead, most solutions rely on broad blue light filtering lenses, which block large sections of the visible spectrum. While these can reduce some discomfort, they often dim brightness, distort colour and reduce contrast, making everyday vision less sharp and less natural.
How LED PRO Works
LED PRO takes a different approach: selective absorption.
It’s the world’s first patented clear lens specifically engineered to counter the disruptive effects of LED light.
Rather than blocking broad sections of the visible spectrum which can dull brightness and distort colour, LED PRO uses advanced dye technology to target the two LED peaks most responsible for glare and fatigue: 450 nm and 550 nm.
By concentrating the absorption of light at these narrow bands and allowing the surrounding wavelengths to pass through, LED PRO maintains a natural balance of brightness, contrast and colour. The result is sharper and more comfortable vision in any LED lit environment.
LED Pro FAQ
How is LED PRO different from blue light blocking lenses?
Most blue light glasses block broad chunks of the spectrum which can dim vision and distort colours. LED PRO is different because it selectively absorbs two disruptive LED peaks (450 nm and 550 nm). This reduces glare and fatigue yet preserves brightness, colour and contrast unlike many blue light blocking lenses.
Are LED PRO lenses tinted?
LED PRO are clear everyday lenses with a very subtle green tint. With an anti-reflective coating, the lens achieves almost 90% light transmission and appears virtually clear to others on the face. For wearers, it’s simply sharper and more comfortable vision.
Does LED PRO absorb blue light?
Yes. In addition to reducing LED glare, LED PRO selectively absorbs potentially harmful blue light while maintaining overall clarity and colour.
Do LED PRO lenses also block UV?
Yes. LED PRO blocks 100% of UV rays meaning your eyes are protected outdoors as well as indoors.
What are the benefits of LED PRO in everyday life?
LED PRO helps to reduce glare and eye strain from LED headlights, TVs, gaming screens, computer monitors, bright overhead lighting… virtually anywhere LED light is present. By easing the effects of modern LED exposure, LED PRO delivers sharper contrast, more natural colour and lasting visual comfort all day, every day.
Who can wear LED PRO lenses?
Anyone who wears glasses can benefit. LED PRO is designed as a clear everyday prescription lens and can be fitted into your own frames by an optometrist.
Can I wear LED PRO lenses all day, every day?
Yes. LED PRO is designed as a clear everyday prescription lens. The same pair works at the office, behind the wheel, in front of the TV and under the bright lights of a shopping centre… wherever your day takes you and LED light is present.
Are LED PRO lenses available in prescription?
Yes. LED PRO is currently available in high index 1.60 and 1.67 materials which are ideal for thinner lenses. Speak with your optometrist about the suitability for your prescription. The range will continue to expand over time.
Are LED PRO lenses in available in non-prescription?
At this point in time LED PRO is not available in non-prescription / plano lenses. The range may extend to non-prescription / plano lenses in the future.
How much light do LED PRO lenses let through?
With an anti-reflective coating, LED PRO lenses achieve almost 90% light transmission and are officially classified as clear lenses. This means wearers get the full benefit of selective LED absorption without any meaningful reduction in brightness or clarity.
Do LED PRO lenses have a tint?
LED PRO lenses are designed as clear everyday lenses, with the advanced absorption dye creating a very subtle green tint. This is a natural part of how the technology works and with an anti-reflective coating the lenses appear virtually clear on the face to others. Wearers don’t perceive the tint; they just notice the reduced glare, sharper contrast and more comfortable vision.
Are LED PRO lenses good for night driving?
Yes. LED PRO softens the harsh glare from modern LED headlights, improves night contrast and reduces eye fatigue. This helps you to see road details more clearly and drive with greater confidence and safety after dark.
